This was one of the first sightings of the year I had (and captured) of an
American goldfinch. Now (I'm writing this entry almost a week later...) we've seen them a number of times. We have also seen downy woodpeckers, nuthatches, house-finches, lots of different kinds of sparrows, grackles and starlings, doves, juncos, titmice, chickadees and blue-jays. Oh and of course there are always plenty of black squirrels...
