This was what I got when I went to the only "silent auction" I have ever been to. It was at the Albion college library and it was a lot of fun! If I were rich- books (old, rare ones) are probably something I would spend a lot of money on! I was excited to win this old German encyclopedia. It isn't in the best of shape but I still love it! It is a copy of the third edition of the Meyers Konversations-Lexikon, published in Leipzig from 1874-78. As I recall there was a mild bidding war, but I still got all 15 volumes for $25.00. It has lovely maps and illustrations too.
